It was ok, but very rushed
We had done something similar at another company and we're really looking forward to this. While we really like the physical atmosphere, we didn't love it. We felt super rushed and found there were too many people at the table grabbing at scents and holding onto them so others couldn't access them. I would not do it again.

During busier time slots, we understand that the experience can sometimes feel rushed, and it may be difficult to access all the materials freely. If you're looking for a more in-depth and personalized experience, we would be happy to recommend our Prestige Workshop, which lasts 2 hours. This private session is held one-on-one with an expert, offering a calm and tailored environment. It allows you to explore the art of fragrance creation at your own pace, with dedicated guidance throughout. Pas assez de temps et trop de stresse
I took a 1-2h workshop at Galimard and at Molinard to compare both offers. At Molinard you may have better quality essence, but it's quite stressful to work through all smells as you shouldn't spend more than 20 minutes to select "your" essences. Also I didn't like to share "the organ" with 3 more people, who constantly interfered with my process. The experience of assembling your perfume is less systematic, you pay more and choice of fragrances is more limited. At Galimard there are more assistants, the atmosphere is calmer and you can better focus to work as a nose. Therefore I clearly prefered the workshop at Galimard.

If you were looking for a calmer atmosphere, more time, and personalized guidance, our Prestige Workshop would likely have been a better fit. This two-hour private session is held in a dedicated space and includes the exclusive attention of a perfume expert, a broader selection of essences, and a fully tailored experience from start to finish. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to explore this more in-depth side of the Molinard experience.
Fun with a few suggestions
This workshop was fun. It was very enjoyable to sample all the different scents and choose the ones that I liked best. I feel the workshop could have been improved by having 2 staff members to support participants - we spent a lot of time waiting for our turn for the facilitator to work with us and give the proportions for blending our own perfume. It then felt really rushed to put our blend together, which made that part of the workshop a lot less enjoyable. I also think it would have been nice to have a bit more guided reflection about scent and the connection with memories e.g. some thinking about favourite scents, happy memories and any scents that are associated with them etc. - this would have given the workshop more depth.
