Not memorable and quite disappointing experience
Booking was easy. The location was beautiful. However, the experience was wanting in several aspects for two of us who were experiencing this for the first time. Our instructor was formal but in a stand-offish manner. No introduction of herself so I don’t even know how to address her. There was a sense of trying to rush through the programme, curt in instructions and a lot of assumptions that people knew what to do automatically. There was very little guidance about how to think about creating an appropriate sense that would suit each individual. Just a general introduction of the fragrance pyramid and then general instructions to choose however many scents you like and note it down. The instructor was busy most of the time writing certificates and names so there was not much opportunity for questions and interaction. Also althogh the class was relatively small 7 pax, there were French and English-sneaking participants, so instructions had to be given twice in both languages which took up time. And then having to individually deal with each person’s scent which led to quite abit of waiting time for your turn after having picking up your scents. Not the fault of the instructor, just the structure of the workshop and possibly lack of staff. At the end, all the fragrance strips were sorted and some removed by the instructor put for you to whiff if you liked it. What was off-putting was the instructor just discarded on her own the fragrances she felt didn’t work and didn’t explain. It was only upon probing that she explained very briefly without even looking at me that those scents were a certain way and will not work, while rigorously writing down the scents on the certificate. It reinforced the sense of rushing through the programme to end on time within the hour. On the whole, it put an unfortunate blemish to the whole Grasse experience for the day ending it on a low despite being the part we were looking most forward to. To be fair, it was not meant to be a fully personalised experience and there was another dedicated workshop for that. But I think the fun factor and experience could be enhanced with more instructions and guidance as the general types of scent families (wood, floral, fruit et ) and how some typical combinations would be put together for certain outcomes, to give first-timers some sense of how to navigate the 50-60 bottles of different scents on the table. Also besides the main instructor, having an additonal support staff to move around and help prompt each individual through the process would help enhance the experience and not just leave you feeling that you were tossed into a ‘lego pit’ to build whatever you wanted. And finally, having two languages in one session reeks of bad taste as it seems like the workshops were combined because there were few participants. And it realistically ate into time for instructions. I hope the experience can be improved for other visitors of the future, to build a better brand experience, and not just be a one-time thing for tourists on their visit to Grasse.

For a more exclusive, private, and in-depth experience, we also offer our Prestige Workshops, held in smaller groups, with personalized guidance in a quieter, more intimate setting. scent only lasts an hour
For all this money I paid this fragrance only lasts about an hour. As soon as the headnotes wear off there is no scent left. Forget about heart notes and base notes. Just nothing, very disappointed as making perfume has been my dream for years, I attended the workshop on my actual birthday and what a let down. Money out the window, poor quality

During the workshop, we take time to explain the essential role each note plays in creating a harmonious composition. However, the longevity and development of the fragrance can vary depending on the raw materials used, and the maceration period plays an important role in fixing the scent. Less attention to our visit and course! The lady in charge of the course was only busy with other people. We do not recommend this cours.
