Discover Provence vineyards in Nice in a small-group tour

To discover Provence vineries near Nice is to step into a landscape where limestone slopes meet Mediterranean light. This small‑group tour unfolds across three distinctive estates—each chosen for character, including a Cru Classé property—travelers journeying in the comfort of an air‑conditioned minivan.

Guided tastings become conversations, and expert commentary reveals the quiet language of grape varieties and terroir, turning each sip into a story.

A lot of wine, a lot of fun!

Our guide, Peter, was fantastic. His knowledge of wines and the wine-making process was invaluable. Visiting three wineries was just right and the wines were good.

Best day trip in Provence!

Commenté le 23/04/2026

Myself and my 4 friends could not recommend this tour more highly! Everything was perfect from the communication with the tour company to the selection of vineyards. Our tour guide Laura was superb with such great knowledge of the wines and surrounding areas. She also allowed us enough time to chat with the group on the tour and made the whole tour so relaxed and enjoyable. I would highly recommend anyone who has an interest in wine to do this tour! Thank you Azur Wines for such a memorable trip.

What are the best wine tasting tours in Nice and the French Riviera for my first visit?

For your fist visit in French riviera, the best wine tasting tours in Nice are those that provide a structured "educational" journey, such as the full-day Provence Wine Tour by Vidivino.

For a first-timer, an ideal tour should include air-conditioned transport, visits to at least three distinct wineries, and an expert guide who simplifies the complex "Cru Classé" classification. This specific tour from Nice is a top choice because it covers the three essential colors of Provence—Rosé, Red, and White—while providing a "tasting masterclass" in the vineyards, making the transition from novice to confident taster seamless and approachable.

Where do wine tours depart from in Nice for my first visit?

Don't worry about navigation; therefore, the best tours offer centralized pickup.

This tour departs from a convenient meeting point in Nice front of Hôtel Beau Rivage, 24 Rue Saint-François de Paule, Nice.

Traveling in a premium 8-seater minivan allows the guide to provide personalized attention that large bus tours lack.

What types of wine will I taste on a Provence tour from Nice?

A well-rounded beginner tour must showcase diversity. Participants on the Vidivino tour taste roughly 15 different wines across three estates.

You will explore the iconic dry Provence Rosé, but also discover the powerful Reds and aromatic Whites of the region, helping you identify your personal palate preferences.

Are lunch is included in Riviera wine excursions?

This full-day tour includes all tasting fees and professional guiding.

While lunch is an additional cost (approx. €25–€30), it is strategically hosted in a medieval village or in a winery, allowing beginners to experience the cultural "Art de Vivre" of Provence alongside the wine education.

How long does a typical wine tasting day-trip from Nice last?

To truly grasp the region without feeling rushed, a full-day 8-hour itinerary (typically 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) is recommended .

This duration allows for three winery visits, a vineyard walk to see the grapes up close, and a relaxed lunch, providing a "well-balanced" introduction to the French Riviera's wine culture.
