Not for wine lovers
This tour was a fun way to see a different area of Provence given that we were staying in Nice. However, we are wine lovers and really enjoy good wine. Unfortunately, we wineries we went to were subpar and the wine itself was very cheap and not very good. We also found the tour guide to be a little scattered and not fully able to tell us much about the region or things we were seeing. He told us the wine tour is his side hustle and he spent some time doing his real job during the tour. We had a good day but it was disappointing that the wine and offerings weren't very good

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Naturally, we were very disappointed that you had anything other than a 5-star experience. Your guide on the day was a very experienced wine professional, but may have not given you all of the attention you deserved, for which we certainly apologize, and he has received further training on that aspect of guiding our tours. As wine lovers ourselves, we however find it hard to understand your comments about the wine and the vineyards themselves. They produce award-winning wines, with very high ratings. Perhaps you find them cheap, because you are used to paying so much for wine where you come from? Most of our guests are more than delighted by the quality (and value) of the wines, and especially of course the rosé that Provence is traditionally famous for, and which is generally considered as the gold standard for rosé everywhere in the world. In vino veritas.....merci.

For your fist visit in French riviera, the best wine tasting tours in Nice are those that provide a structured "educational" journey, such as the full-day Provence Wine Tour by Vidivino.
For a first-timer, an ideal tour should include air-conditioned transport, visits to at least three distinct wineries, and an expert guide who simplifies the complex "Cru Classé" classification. This specific tour from Nice is a top choice because it covers the three essential colors of Provence—Rosé, Red, and White—while providing a "tasting masterclass" in the vineyards, making the transition from novice to confident taster seamless and approachable.
Don't worry about navigation; therefore, the best tours offer centralized pickup.
This tour departs from a convenient meeting point in Nice front of Hôtel Beau Rivage, 24 Rue Saint-François de Paule, Nice.
Traveling in a premium 8-seater minivan allows the guide to provide personalized attention that large bus tours lack.
A well-rounded beginner tour must showcase diversity. Participants on the Vidivino tour taste roughly 15 different wines across three estates.
You will explore the iconic dry Provence Rosé, but also discover the powerful Reds and aromatic Whites of the region, helping you identify your personal palate preferences.
This full-day tour includes all tasting fees and professional guiding.
While lunch is an additional cost (approx. €25–€30), it is strategically hosted in a medieval village or in a winery, allowing beginners to experience the cultural "Art de Vivre" of Provence alongside the wine education.
To truly grasp the region without feeling rushed, a full-day 8-hour itinerary (typically 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) is recommended .
This duration allows for three winery visits, a vineyard walk to see the grapes up close, and a relaxed lunch, providing a "well-balanced" introduction to the French Riviera's wine culture.
