Andy

The best way to see the city.

First time in Marseille? First time on an e.bike? No problem. I saw this tour on offer and particularly wanted a way to get to the Parc National des Calanques, so it seemed a perfect fit. I thought it might be demanding, because the itinerary included Notre Dame de la Garde, which was also on my "must see" list, well the power assist on the bike made the ride very easy indeed. My tour was expertly guided by Eva, who taught us about the e.bike before we set off. So many lovely things to see enroute but the national parc is breathtakingly beautiful. I was very glad to be behind someone who knew the traffic. Particularly the return journey, the main roads got busy. For a one day experience, it seemed quite expensive but personally, the introduction to the e.bike alone was a revelation and the meeting point was easy to find and close to my hotel. Don't miss out. Remember your sunscreen!

Fun introduction to a great city!

This was my first time in Marseille and I thought a bike tour would give me a feel for the layout--and it did. Our guide, Stefane, took us through many interesting sights over the course of 6 hours. We had time to enter the Notre Dame de La Garde and look around, and to pick up lunch at a boulangerie and take it to a lovely spot to eat. Our guide taught us a lot about the history and culture of Marseille and answered our many questions. The e-bikes are easy to use and make going up even the steepest of hills a breeze. Marseille is bike friendly, and our guide emphasized safety. But it IS a city and one with narrow lanes-so be prepared to pay close attention to bike lanes and traffic signals. After our tour was over, Stefane even took the time to send us recommendations for the next leg of our trip (beyond Marseille). I would do this tour again and highly recommend.
