Fun for the most part, but...
As a Solo Traveler and a person who was looking forward to this as an opportunity to improve my French(i.e. the national language) more or less get involved in group conversations, I felt a bit excluded as the only non Dutch speaker in the group, if not one of the silent few. Even the guide spoke Dutch. Meaning that the only time I could 'get socially involved' is when the guide stopped us to explain our stops/tourist attractions in English, the traffic and the hilly roads even made it hard for me to be as close to the tour guide as I needed to be for more questions, since I eventually realised that I couldn't even engage in a conversion of Dutch speakers to help. Basically, they do give you a chance to chose the language you want the guide to speak for you, but not the language of the rest of the group. Also when we stopped at "la Grande Mere"(if I remember that's what's called), the main tourist attraction in the city I wasn't made fully aware of what time to re-join the group and continue the journey, what I can do/expect from the guide in case I get lost(whether he'd call me, whether I can call him, e.t.c). If not I'd have spent more time and taken more memorable photos than the ones I could take at the time. Other than that, I would generally recommend this trip for anyone. Let alone people that are Ok with "my bad side" of it.
