Someone will pick you just down the cruise ship to go to the old port.
Then, you will start the visit with a stop at the Pharo Palace with a magnificent view of the city. You will continue through the vallon des auffes, a small fishing port with its fishermen and its FONFON bouillabaisse restaurant!
Start the climb to Notre Dame de la Garde, which you will have to deserve (a little). From up there, a 360 ¨ view of the city awaits you. Take the time to visit the basilica.
Descent to the Kennedy corniche, to cross the Prado beaches, the port of the Pointe Rouge, the Madrague Montredon to the "end of the world": The Calanque de Callelongue meanders between the rocks ... superb.
It's time to stop eating at the fish restaurant or on the beach and take a bath (unsupervised but so refreshing!)
The return will be through the huge Borely Park and the velodrome stadium dear to Marseillais who are crazy about it!

E-bike tour Oct 2025
Biking was very nice and scenic but I would suggest a change in practice when taking out a group of novice cyclists especially with e-bikes. E-bikes are very heavy and takes time to feel comfortable on. A lot of tourists are trying out something new on their vacation and that could be a bit intimidating in itself. There were many times when our guide would get out front by quite a distance and the ones in back would get separated until the guide stopped to have us catch up. I saw one person in our group run into a building trying to change directions quickly to stay on course and my husband ( in a traffic roundabout) fell off his bike and scraped his knee all up. I heard the fall and circled back for him. We eventually caught up to the group. The change I would suggest is that there be a guide in the back of a group to help out in case of need and to help out those less advanced cyclists. Keep in mind that this tour takes place in traffic with cars and not always in cycling lanes. This is intimidating for some if not all new cyclists in a new country most are aged over 60 and are novice participants. Other than that suggestion, the tour is fun and well worth doing. The park where we had lunch was very pretty. Thanks to Lucy our guide. I would recommend this tour.

From start to finish, our all day bike tour of Marseille was fantastic! The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to give us a wonderful tour, swim at the National Park. I would highly recommend FADA bike tours to anyone wanting a wonderful day in Marseille.
