Great experience with Yannick
We requested a booking with FUNTRIP at short notice and received confirmation from Yannick within a very short time. The support from FUNTRIP was professional and we felt we were in good hands at all times. After arriving in Pont du Loup, we were equipped accordingly and our group was driven to the entry point for the canyoning tour. Then followed 2 unforgettable hours, which began with a briefing on safety and technique by Yannick. The difficulty level of the tour is highly recommended for beginners - challenging and exciting, but not overwhelming. We would like to thank the entire FUNTRIP team for the great experience and support!

Canyoning and canyoneering are equally safe when done with proper supervision. The most important factor is having certified instructors and using the right safety equipment, which greatly lowers risks for beginners. Beginner routes usually have optional obstacles and are set in controlled environments. In our activity, professional guides watch over the group, and the route is designed for beginners. You can also decide if you want to try a jump or not.
In beginner-friendly canyons such as the Gorges du Loup, most obstacles are optional, with alternatives such as walking or rope assistance provided by a guide. Generally low in height, jumps are always supervised by professionals. On this route, both slides and jumps are optional. There is no obligation to do anything if you do not want to. This flexibility makes the activity an ideal choice for families and people discovering canyoning for the first time.
The proposed route is a level 2 course, fairly easy, where the difficulties can be bypassed, and accessible from age 8.
A helmet, wetsuit and neoprene socks will be provided. Please bring a swimsuit to wear under the wetsuit — for the walk back up after the canyon descent, you will be warm! — and trainers/sneakers that can go in the water.
You must be at least 8 years old, know how to swim and be in good physical condition, without necessarily being sporty.
The canyoning experience is possible from age 8.
No, you must wear trainers/sneakers that can go in the water. Water shoes are slippery and therefore dangerous. If you don’t have any, the provider can rent some to you.
No. In general, the opening season runs from April to October. In winter, due to rainfall, the current is too strong to practice this activity.
