Marjorie invites you on a geological journey to a site soon to be classified as a Geopark.
The aim, if the trip is taken in class, is to initiate children in the earth sciences in a fun way, by providing them with a real collection of rocks, minerals and fossils to handle! Understand the differences between rock, mineral and crystal. How a fossil is formed, the usefulness of rocks, approaching geological time, understanding what a graze is.
In the event of a field trip, the idea is to discover and learn about the diversity of rocks and minerals at the site visited. 3 possible themes and locations:
1 - Erosion, transport and sedimentation.
2 - The Reyran and malpasset site
3 - The geology of the Estérel
Everyone makes and leaves with their own collection of typical rocks and minerals in the Var or Alpes-Maritimes.
Educational objectives and approaches:
