The history of Puget-Ville dates back to medieval times. The village takes its name from the Puget family, lords of the place in the Middle Ages. Located in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Puget-Ville is nestled in the heart of Provence, surrounded by famous vineyards and picturesque landscapes.
Over the centuries, Puget-Ville has experienced various periods of growth and tranquillity. Like many villages in the region, it has been marked by the turbulent history of Provence. With periods of prosperity thanks to agriculture and wine-growing, as well as periods of conflict and instability, notably during the Wars of Religion and the World Wars.
Today, Puget-Ville retains its Provencal charm, with narrow streets, stone houses and shady squares. The village is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and Provençal art de vivre. Visitors can discover its historic heritage by wandering through its narrow streets, visiting its church and exploring its verdant surroundings.
Puget-Ville is also renowned for its wine estates, which produce quality wines that are appreciated by connoisseurs. Winegrowing is an important part of the local economy and contributes to the cultural identity of the region. It is also associated with the production of olive oil. Olive growing and olive oil production have a long history in this region, dating back to ancient times.
