The Haut-Jabron clue with almost underground passages offers an excellent canyoning outing in the Verdon. Swimming, walking, jumping, slides, and rappels… for canyoning enthusiasts, it’s a gem of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence that you definitely should not miss!
The Jabron springs from Peyroules in Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur. About 30 km long, it houses the Haut-Jabron clue where you will make your descent in canyoning.
This clue, located 10 km from Castellane, is perfect for an introduction to canyoning.
After familiarizing yourself with the water, you will approach your first slide leading into a semi-enclosed area and finish your descent in a large pool of water.
The rest of the course takes you to a narrow gorge, followed by a sloped slide.
You then arrive at the famous “cannon” slide: a 5-meter descent. After passing through a small opening, you will chain jumps and slides of various heights.
The activity concludes with a 15-meter spider web rappel, allowing you to learn descent techniques!
You will then walk back to the starting point in about forty minutes.
