The canyoning activity in the Gorges du Loup starts with two abseils to discover the rope descent technique. Alternating jumps, slides and swimming in the clear water. The jumps vary from 2 to 8 metres, but you bypass all these obstacles as you wish.
The Gorges du Loup is the front part of the Gours du Ray and is the closest canyon to Nice, just above the city. A fresh and intrepid river that runs all the way to the Mediterranean, the Loup is best known for the steep gorges that border it. A rocky defile with lush vegetation, the beauty of the greenery competes with that of the multiple waterfalls cataracting from the mountain in narrow nets like angels' hair.
The Loup is an ideal place to indulge in the new and invigorating joys of canyoning or aquatic trekking. GPS coordinates: 43.750677, 6.995705 Take the A8 highway towards Cannes, and take exit 48 for Cagnes sur Mer. Then go up the Loup valley on the D6, to reach the village of Pont du Loup. Turn right to go up the Gorges du Loup towards Courmes to reach a tunnel. The parking area is on the left as you leave the tunnel, after the restaurant Saut du loup.
