No. This first scuba diving experience is specially designed for beginners. No previous diving experience is required. Before entering the water, your instructor will explain how the activity works, the safety instructions and how to use the diving equipment. You will then be accompanied by your instructor throughout your first underwater experience.
Yes. Participants must know how to swim and feel comfortable in the water. This activity is suitable for beginners, but good physical condition is recommended.
The activity is accessible to children from the age of 8. Parental authorisation is required for minors.
You will meet your instructor at Port Fréjus for a briefing about the activity and the safety rules. After discovering the diving equipment, you will board the boat and head towards the dive site, such as the Lion de Mer or the Île d'Or depending on the conditions. You will then enjoy your first underwater immersion accompanied by a qualified instructor.
The activity lasts approximately 3 hours. This includes the welcome, safety briefing, equipment preparation, boat trip and your underwater dive lasting around 20 minutes.
Each participant completes their first dive with their own qualified instructor. Even if several people take part in the boat trip together, the underwater experience is carried out with individual supervision, allowing each diver to progress at their own pace.
The dive can reach a maximum depth of around 6 metres. This depth is adapted for beginners and allows you to discover scuba diving safely while being accompanied by your instructor.
Depending on the season and underwater visibility, you may discover Mediterranean marine life such as fish, octopuses, sea urchins, starfish and other species living around the dive sites near Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël.
All the necessary diving equipment is provided, including the diving gear, mask, fins, wetsuit and air tank. You only need to bring your swimsuit, towel and sunscreen.
Departing from Port Fréjus, this first dive allows you to discover the Mediterranean underwater world and explore dive sites that are only accessible by boat, such as the Lion de Mer or the Île d'Or. Accompanied by a qualified instructor, you can experience your first underwater adventure in complete safety and discover the beauty of the French Riviera coastline.
