The Dramont lakes nature walk blends the history of Man with the history of the Earth. From the port of Poussaï to the D-Day beach, it's an emblematic site of the Provence landings.
For history buffs, this walk will take us in the footsteps of former 19th-century Dramont quarries. Between history and geology, we'll step back in time to understand how the landing beach came to be, what the extraction of blue porphyry (Esterellite) was used for, and the origin of the lakes we know today. The walk will be accompanied by a short break in the middle of the route to take in more of the original setting of this site.
