Cote d'Azur Wine Tour - Full Day - Private Tour

Discover one of Nice’s best kept secrets – the Bellet appellation, on the hilltops above the city, where wine has been made for well over 2,000 years. After a lunch stop in the must-see medieval village of St Paul de Vence, we'll visit a truly unique vineyard that will delight you in its originality.

Duration : 8 h

  • Visit the Bellet, St Paul de Vence and St Jeannet in one day
  • Great wines - stunning views
  • Your expert wine guide on hand
  • Tasting 3 colours - red, white and rosé, plus a few local surprises
  • Pick-up and drop-off at your place of residence
  • Comfortable air-conditioned minivan

On the programme

9/9.30am : Meet at your place of residence and depart for the first estate.

10am : Arrival at our first vineyard. An authentic and totally charming family vineyard, now managed by the next generation and who produce some of the most interesting and highly rated wines in the Bellet appellation. A wander through in the vines and a guided tour, is followed by an exploration of the cellars and the winery where you’ll learn all about making these wines – red, white and rosé - in a relaxed and informal way.

Then we’ll have a tutored tasting of some of the latest vintages and best wines from the cellar. You may even get chance to taste some of Grandma’s home make treats and the estate’s own olive oil...

11.30am : Visit the second vineyard. This château, truly the historic heart of the Bellet, has stunning views over the sea and mountains – and itself a fascinating history going back to La Belle Époque and before. We’ll have a guided tour of the grounds where you can appreciate the beauty of the environment and of course taste some of their long-aged wines in the special tasting room.

12.45pm : Lunch break in the medieval village of Saint-Paul de Vence, where you will have time to visit its ancient, narrow streets filled with some of the best art and modern art galleries to be found anywhere.

3.15pm : Visit the third vineyard. At this amazing property, with a real human story and a wine history like very few others, you’ll encounter a true artist. Freed of the constraints of an appellation, this winemaker relies on ancestral methods and nature to produce some remarkable bottles in very limited quantities

5.30pm : Drop-off at your place of residence.

(Itinerary may vary according to weather, traffic and availability of the vineyards).

Exceeded our expectations!

We loved our wine tour for so many reasons! We really enjoyed seeing the small batch, family owned/operated wineries. Exactly what we were looking for! Our tour guide, Peter, was amazing. So knowledgeable and welcoming. He went above and beyond to cater the experience for our group providing us memories we'll never forget!

Merci, Bree for your heart-warming review. You were a great bunch, with such different characters, and it looks like we all had a memorable day together! Do come again when you next visit us in the South of France....

Amazing Time!

Our Côte d'Azur Wine Tour was wonderful from beginning to end. Peter and Edwin were both so personable and just a delight. Erwan who has been my contact for years always answers all my questions and even changed the day of the tour due to my error. I've used this company before and will definitely be calling on them again.

Fun full day

We saw a variety with 3 very different wineries. Also a very beautiful town stop for lunch. Guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Getting to see the area where the wineries are located away from the coast was a very nice change of pace.
