Not enough guidance in combining scents
I thought the instructor was very good, very informed, but I wish there had been some guidance on combining scents. We were told to pick our favorite scents, which I did, but since I was the only single person there, she helped me last and right before another session was starting. She was in a hurry. Then she told me my scents were too sweet and to select more…but again was in a hurry and didn’t give real suggestions. She came back and gave me a few options, but in the end the final product was not something I liked and I left it in France (and yes, I waited the week). I wish that we had been told, “if you like spicy, here are some combinations you may like”, “if you like floral, here is a good combo”, etc. I walked in hoping to discover my “signature scent” so when she said to select my favorite ones, I thought I was on the way to creating my perfect combination and instead felt defeated and chastised that I hadn’t chosen well and then very hurried to get out. No, I wouldn’t recommend, but I don’t regret it bc it was interesting to hear about the process.

Il peut arriver que certaines compositions réagissent différemment selon le type de peau, la température ambiante ou même le pH de chacun. Nos créations sont bien formulées comme des eaux de parfum, avec une concentration élevée en essences, mais leur perception peut varier d’une personne à l’autre. Rushed
Overall, it was a good experience, but it felt rushed. The person leading the workshop was kind and professional, though it seemed she was simply given too many responsibilities. While running our workshop, she also cleaned the adjacent table and assigned tasks to us. At the same time, a children’s workshop began at the next table, led by a shop assistant, which was distracting. This also meant the store was left unattended, and customers would often come over asking our guide for help with purchases at the front. In short, the atmosphere felt chaotic, not due to the staff, but probably to the way the company operates, i might be mistaken. Given the price, I had expected a more focused and refined workshop experience.
